Welcome to the DCC

The goal of the NIDDK-sponsored Diabetic Complications Consortium (DCC) is to provide an environment that will foster communication and collaboration between investigator communities involved in complications research.

Toward this goal, the DCC will:
  1. sponsor annual meetings in complications-relevant scientific areas;
  2. solicit and fund pilot projects in high impact areas of complications research;
  3. support a website to serve the diabetic complications community.

Knockout Mouse Project Repository (KOMP)
The KOMP Repository (www.komp.org) is the official archive and distribution center for the Knockout Mouse Project (KOMP), a major 5-year trans-NIH initiative designed to generate null alleles in C57BL/6 embryonic stem (ES) cells for most genes not already available as knockout mice. Nearly 8500 genes are targeted for deletion, most in a conditional-ready format, by mutagenesis teams at "CSD" (Childrens Hospital of Oakland Research Institute, The Sanger Institute, and UC Davis) and at Regeneron, Inc. At the KOMP Repository at UC Davis and CHORI, you can obtain targeting vectors, ES cells, mice, and germplasm, as well as microinjection, genotyping, cryopreservation, breeding, and other services quickly and at reasonable cost to help you with your research project.

Plot or Chart Your Analysis.
When performing a statistical analysis, users now have the ability to chart the strain combinations on-the-fly directly from the analysis results page. This capability has been implemented for both the basic statistics and ANOVA interfaces. Users can plot column, line or XY charts for two or more filtered strains. Just go to Data Analysis => Statistical Exploration.
