| Description |
These mice contain a mutation designed to replace gene
function of endogenous mouse Apoe with the human APOE4
isoform. They also contain a mutation designed to replace
gene function of endogenous mouse Ldlr with human LDLR and
the spontaneous mutation Ins2Akita. These mice may be useful
to identify the roles human lipoprotein metabolism related
genes in diabetic dyslipidemia and vascular complications.
