The DiaComp Steering Committee is the governing body of the consortium. The principle function of this committee is to guide the scientific direction of the consortium. This is accomplished by creating various subcommittees necessary to advance the scientific goals and providing guidance to the broader complications research community. Policies for the consortium are developed through consultation with the External Evaluation Committee



The DiaComp External Evaluation Committee was created to help guide the consortium in their scientific endeavors and funding mechanisms.



The DiaComp Gastro-Intestinal (GI) Committee has the principal function of furthering the mission of the consortium with regard to diabetic gastro-intestinal (GI) and liver disease



The DiaComp Wound Healing Committee has the principal function of furthering the mission of the consortium with regard to diabetic wound healing.



The DiaComp Bioinformatics Committee is charged with developing the informatics infrastructure of the consortium. This committee provides guidance to the Coordinating and Bioinformatics Unit of the Consortium. They develop strategies for sharing data among the members and provide guidance on the software tools necessary to search and analyze the data generated by the members.



The DiaComp Cardiovascular Committee has the principal function of furthering the mission of the consortium with regard to diabetic cardiomyopathy and macrovascular disease.



The DiaComp Nephropathy Committee has the principal function of furthering the mission of the consortium with regard to diabetic kidney disease.



The DiaComp Retinopathy Committee has the principal function of furthering the mission of the consortium with regard to diabetic eye disease.



The DiaComp Uropathy Committee has the principal function of furthering the mission of the consortium with regard to diabetic complications of the lower genitourinary tract.
