Phenotype Description
This strain will be useful in studies to determine the role of sustained JAK2
overexpression in several kidney cell types on the progression of DN. Homozygous
JAK2 overexpression in the presence of exogenous AngII substantially enhanced
albuminuria, mesangial expansion and nephrosclerosis especially with type 1 DM.
